Other restock locations in the US got the same treatment this week, including Target, Sam's Club, Antonline and Sony Direct. There was no Walmart PS5 restock this week, but we should see more stock next week, while Amazon is suspiciously overdue.

We just saw the PS5 Best Buy restock today, and that means the electronics retailer is 6-for-6 on restocking the Sony console on Fridays. We caution that PS5 inventory is still – and we've only seen PS5 Disc for the past two weeks. There was a 0% chance of a PS5 Digital Edition restock, according to our restock tracker, and that was correct.

Best Buy PS5 restock tips
Buying the PS5 at Best Buy isn't easy. Basically, you need to click on the yellow 'Add to Cart' button, wait for the greyed out button to cycle through (it can take a while) and turn yellow again. Click it to add to your cart again and check out as quickly as possible. Jake Randall, YouTuber and restock tracker aficionado, has excellent PS5 restock tips in this video.
Maybe the most important thing to keep in mind is to have patience. We receive thousands of replies from people who check the link and give up instantly saying 'Sold out.' Inventory happens in waves at PS5 retailers, and giving up too soon is the biggest mistake we see people make.

Our white whale. Amazon is overdue for a PS5 restock, but nothing is ever confirmed at the online retail giant. We were sent information that a restock was scheduled for Thursday, March 18 with 46,000 consoles up for grabs, but that was last week. The Amazon PS5 restock date clearly got shifted – and we're not sure why. Amazon did have Xbox inventory already this week. Maybe it'll offload those 46,000 console in inventory next week. But really, who knows?

The next Walmart PS5 restock date may be Thursday, April 1, according to the recent pattern that the retailer has followed with its PS5 drops. We didn't see a restock this week for the PS5 (only Xbox Series X restock via Microsoft's All Access bundle). While we think Walmart may stick to its pattern, we also know takes the longest of any retailer to ship the console to consumers, so this one is far from confirmed.

Target employees have been the best at tipping us off at when there will be a PS5 restock, and it seems to be happening every two weeks and right on time. It's always been in the morning, recently between 7am EDT and and 9am EDT. Be warned, the PS5 restock time can fluctuate beyond that too, judging from past Target PS5 orders at launch, but it hasn't changed too much recently. Like Walmart, Target inventory has been light, but two weeks should be enough catch-up time for the retailer.

Antonline has publicly stated that it has 'drops every week' and since it just offered a PS5 bundle on Thursday, March 25, we're not anticipating another restock of the PlayStation 5 until next week. Note: Antonline tends to sell out in three minutes, but when it goes on sale, there are no waves or in stock/out of stock funny business with the add to cart button.

Sony's official stores restocks more often than any single retailer and it uses a lottery system to keep things fair – and keep bots at bay. You need a PSN account and it's one PS5 console per household. With a virtual queue that's randomized, we're always 'in line' for the PS5 and attempting to reach checkout. About every other week, we can get through (but we never completely buy PS5 – just going through the motions for reporting purposes).
Sam's Club and Costco PS5 restock

We've seen Sam's Club and Costco PS5 restock activity each week, but inventory at these US wholesale retailers is always unannounced and extremely limited. Costco requires to be a member to buy a PS5, while Sam's Club tries to lure you into buying a membership – or allows you to sign up as a guest. At both stores, the PS5 restock lasts about five minutes or less, especially after we tweet about it via our Twitter tracker. But five minutes is a lifetime in this game.

Our Xbox Series X restock Twitter tracker is often the first to know when Best Buy, Walmart, Antonline and other US stores will have the Microsoft console back in stock. Update: There's unlikely to be a Target Xbox Series X restock on Thursday, April 8, according to our sources. It's been four weeks since the retailer has had the Xbox back in stock – Thursday, March 11. It's had two PS5 restock events since then, which seems rather lopsided. The only retailers to favor the Xbox have been Walmart and Amazon recently.

The Xbox Series X restock at Walmart and Best Buy didn't happen as expected last week, and we know of new inventory at Best Buy warehouses. That's good news if you're eager to buy Xbox Series X in April. Stores in the US are stockpiling the Microsoft consoles, and we hope to see it from Walmart, Best Buy and Amazon; all are now overdue for a restock.
We usually see Xbox Series X orders open up at Best Buy on Fridays at 12pm EDT / 11am CDT / 10am MDT / 9am PDT, or a few minutes after that time. We've seen it as late as 3:15pm EDT once, however, Best Buy completely missed this window. There's now more hope that it'll have an even bigger restock on Friday, April 9.
GameStop Xbox Series X restock date

The GameStop Xbox restock did happen, but it wasn't the Microsoft console we had wanted. Only Xbox Series S bundles were in stock on Tuesday, April 6. GameStop has a restock cadence of every week to week-and-a-half, and the last drop Xbox drops haven't contained the Xbox Series X, so we're unsure how this fits into the retailer's pattern. All we know is that we're due some Series X consoles soon.
Note: GameStop routinely restricts its Xbox Series X restock to bundles, and while it can cost more, it makes buying the new Xbox much easier because resellers have a more difficult time profiting from the packed-in games and accessories (which are all readily available). We usually know in advance when a GameStop restock happens.

No Walmart Xbox Series X restock happened on Thursday, April 1 at 2:30pm EDT / 11:30am PDT, even if the retailer has been doing every other Thursday for the last month, and we don't expect another restock this week. Looking more broadly, it does have a one-month gap between cycles, so we might not see the Xbox Series X back in stock before Thursday, April 15, according to that broader pattern. The next PS5 Walmart restock date will almost certainly rely on how much inventory it has at its warehouses, meaning its cadence can change.

We saw a surprise Xbox Series X restock at Amazon on Tuesday, March 23, and our restock tracker sent out an alert as soon as it happened. Even with that, the restock lasted just two minutes for the Series X. We also saw the Series S in stock it lasted a bit longer, but it has since sold out. There have only been a handful of Amazon Xbox restock dates since the console launched in November 2020, so we're unsure of when it'll be back in stock. We'll update this section when we know more.
New: We've been told by one source that they've seen more Xbox Series X consoles in warehouses that PS5 consoles, so we may actually be due another round of the Microsoft console before we ever see another restock from its biggest rival.

The official Microsoft Xbox store often has the Series X console in stock throughout the week, however, it sells out in three minutes or less, according to our restock Twitter tracker account.
The secret: some people either cancel their orders midway through the process, or their credit card gets rejected, so do keep refreshing when we send out the Xbox restock alert. You may get lucky in scooping up a console that gets kicked back into the inventory system after five or fifteen minutes.

Today, April 7 marks three weeks since we got an Xbox Series X restock at Antonline, and the online store may be gearing up for another loaded bundle. The official word from the American retailer is that it does a next-gen restock every week, and while we saw a PS5 restock yesterday, we're overdue for a Xbox restock today.
Antonline ships consoles fast and it doesn't play games with its add to cart button like other Xbox Series X restock locations. This means you have about three minutes from the time Matt Swider sends his tweet to actually buy it.
